This Mediterranean-inspired house and garden in Cinnaminson, NJ transformed the full front of the property into a more welcoming, accessible, and visually unified arrival. A new covered porch, ADA-compliant curved walkway, stone retaining wall, roof drip edge, rain barrel, water feature, and small rain garden were integrated with layered planting along the front of the home.
The planting brings a naturalistic softness to the Mediterranean-style architecture, using grasses, shrubs, ferns, perennials, bulbs, boulders, and seasonal flowering layers to create texture, movement, and year-round interest. Functional details were woven into the garden as part of the design, including stormwater features that absorb roof runoff, reduce splashback against the stucco, and guide water into the soil and planting.
